Employee Relations Executive

Location: The Basingstoke Hub (Chineham Business Park, RG24 8WG)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract, until 31st December 2026

Ready to join the team behind some of the world's favourite places to play? At Merlin, every great day of play starts with great people behind the scenes! As our Employee Relations Executive, you will play a vital role in helping us create a positive, fair and supportive workplace for colleagues across the UK. Working as part of our UK Hub People Team, you will be a trusted partner to managers, providing expert guidance on a range of employee relations matters while helping to deliver an outstanding colleague experience.

You will manage a varied caseload of employee relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance matters. With a strong understanding of employment legislation and best practice, you will ensure cases are handled consistently, professionally and in line with company policies, legal requirements and service standards.

Working closely with People Business Partners, managers, legal colleagues and the wider People Shared Services team, you'll provide coaching and practical support throughout formal employee relations processes. From preparing documentation and guiding conversations to helping managers navigate complex situations, you'll support solutions that are both commercially balanced and people focused.

You will also help us continuously improve the way we work by identifying trends, contributing to policy development and supporting initiatives that build manager capability across the business. Where higher-risk or complex matters arise, you'll work alongside senior stakeholders and specialist teams to ensure the right outcomes for our colleagues and the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
