Shape the Future of Workforce Change at FNZ

FNZ is seeking an Employee Relations Lead to join our People & Culture team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting organisational change and workforce transformation initiatives across FNZ. Working at the centre of complex change programmes, you will provide expert employee relations guidance, and ensure change is delivered in a way that is commercially effective, legally and regulatory compliant, and aligned to FNZ's values.

You'll partner closely with senior business leaders and our teams to design and deliver workforce consultation strategies that support organisational objectives while maintaining employee engagement and minimising risk.

The Opportunity

This is the perfect opportunity for a People Business Partner that specialises in Employee Relations.

You'll lead workforce programmes across a global organisation, helping leaders navigate organisational change while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice employee relations principles.

The role offers the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, shape workforce change strategies, and deliver high-profile organisational initiatives that have a meaningful impact across FNZ.

What You'll Be Doing

Workforce Execution Leadership

  • Lead complex workforce change activities across multiple business areas
  • Design and implement change strategies aligned to business objectives and legal requirements
  • Support business leaders through organisational design and workforce change initiatives
  • Develop clear communication plans and engagement strategies throughout change programmes

Organisational Change

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to plan and execute organisational change initiatives
  • Support workforce optimisation programmes
  • Advise on employment risks associated with organisational change activities
  • Ensure robust governance, documentation, and decision-making frameworks are maintained
  • Manage complex employee relations issues arising from change programmes
  • Support the delivery of sustainable organisational outcomes while balancing employee and commercial considerations

Employee Relations Expertise

  • Act as a trusted adviser on complex employee relations matters
  • Provide practical guidance on UK employment law and consultation requirements
  • Partner with Legal and HR teams to ensure consistent risk management approaches
  • Support senior leaders in managing sensitive and high-profile employee situations
  • Identify and mitigate employee relations, legal, and reputational risks
  • Promote best practice employee relations across the organisation

Stakeholder Management & Influence

  • Build trusted relationships with senior business leaders and People teams
  • Influence decision-making through expert advice and evidence-based recommendations
  • Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders during periods of organisational change
  • Provide regular updates to governance forums and leadership teams
  • Ensure alignment across business, HR, and Legal stakeholders throughout change programmes

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure workforce change activities comply with UK employment legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit trails
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies across change programmes
  • Support governance reporting and escalation processes where required
  • Drive consistent and compliant approaches across all workforce change initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Significant Employee Relations experience within a complex organisation
  • Proven experience leading large-scale workforce transformation or organisational change programmes
  • Extensive knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder groups and influencing senior leaders
  • Demonstrable experience operating within professional services, financial services, consulting, or private equity-backed organisations
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance business and employee considerations
  • Experience working in fast-paced and evolving business environments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Strong project and programme delivery capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously
