Employee Relations Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join an organisation in a newly created role driven by continued growth and investment. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the employee relations agenda, partnering with leaders across the business to provide expert guidance on complex people matters while helping to shape a proactive and commercially focused ER function.

This is a highly visible role, working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure employee relations matters are managed effectively, consistently and in line with best practice. You'll combine hands-on ER expertise with the opportunity to influence processes, build manager capability and drive continuous improvement across the people function.

The Role

  • Lead on complex employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence management and investigations.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to leaders on a broad range of ER matters and employment law issues.
  • Coach and upskill managers to confidently manage people matters and improve employee outcomes.
  • Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, consultations and redundancy programmes.
  • Review, develop and implement ER policies, procedures and guidance.
  • Analyse ER trends and data to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with HR colleagues and business leaders to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused people solutions.
  • Promote a positive employee experience while ensuring compliance and mitigating organisational risk.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
