Employee Relations Manager
Our client, a leading international professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join its established HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a highly visible role with global reach.
Salary: up to £85,000
Hybrid Working: 2 days in office per week
Location: London
Joining a collaborative and high-performing HR function, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, supporting a broad range of complex people matters while driving consistent and commercially focused ER practices. This role offers exposure to sensitive casework, organisational projects, management coaching initiatives and wider people strategy activity.
Key Duties
- Acting as the senior point of contact for complex employee relations matters, providing pragmatic and commercially focused guidance to managers and leaders.
- Managing a varied portfolio of employee issues, including workplace concerns relating to conduct, performance, attendance, capability and broader employment matters.
- Leading and supporting detailed workplace reviews and investigations, gathering information, assessing evidence and producing clear recommendations.
- Working closely with HR colleagues and people leaders to ensure employee matters are handled consistently, fairly and in line with business objectives.
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, supporting decision-making on sensitive people issues and helping to navigate areas of organisational risk.
- Advising on employment legislation, internal frameworks and people policies, ensuring compliance and best practice are maintained throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Supporting the preparation of documentation and responses relating to external employment matters, dispute resolution processes and formal proceedings where required.
- Analysing employee relations data and trends to identify recurring themes, support workforce planning initiatives and inform strategic decision-making.
- Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of people policies, procedures and employee relations frameworks across the business.
- Developing and delivering guidance, workshops and coaching sessions to strengthen management capability and encourage proactive resolution of workplace issues.
- Supporting wider HR projects and cultural initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, manager effectiveness and organisational performance.

The successful candidate will possess significant employee relations experience gained within a complex organisation. You will be confident handling sensitive and high-profile matters, possess excellent stakeholder management skills and have a strong understanding of UK employment law and ideally have experience of work globally. Experience working within legal, professional services or another partnership environment would be advantageous.
