Employee Relations Advisor – Talent Pool

Location: Birmingham (hybrid – typically 1-2 days per week in the office)

Hours: Full time - 40 hours a week

What Future Roles Could Involve

  • Managing a varied caseload of employee relations matters, providing clear, pragmatic advice aligned to employment law and best practice
  • Coaching and empowering line managers to confidently manage ER cases while balancing risk and commercial outcomes
  • Partnering with HR colleagues and senior stakeholders across the business
  • Supporting ER policy and process reviews, contributing to continuous improvement
  • Working collaboratively with Legal and Occupational Health teams on complex cases, including Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal matters

What We're Looking For

  • HR or ER professionals with a strong working knowledge of employee relations policy and UK employment law
  • Experience managing ER cases and delivering sound, solution-focused advice
  • A people-centred approach, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work with professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
  • Experience within a HR Shared Service Centre environment (desirable)
  • CIPD qualification at Level 3, 5 or 7 (desirable – study support available)
