Are you an experienced Employee Relations specialist who knows ER inside out?

Do you enjoy getting stuck into a busy caseload, confidently advising managers and seeing cases through to resolution?

We’re looking for a strong and experienced ER Advisor to join a fantastic, supportive HR team on an interim basis. This is a focused ER assignment, joining the business as part of a project to reduce an existing ER caseload and provide additional specialist support to managers.

This isn’t a generalist HR role – Employee Relations will be your core focus, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable managing a high volume of cases and can hit the ground running.

Employee Relations Advisor – Interim / Temporary

  • Location: Huntingdon / Mostly Remote / 1 day a week in the office
  • Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 FTE
  • Hours: Full-time or Part-time Hours Considered
  • Start: Immediate Start / ASAP

You’ll take ownership of a varied ER caseload, providing confident, pragmatic and commercially sensible advice to managers across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a high-volume ER caseload from start to resolution
  • Advising and coaching managers on a wide range of employee relations matters
  • Managing disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability cases
  • Supporting more complex and sensitive ER situations
  • Ensuring cases progress efficiently and don't unnecessarily stall
  • Providing clear, confident advice in line with employment legislation, policy and best practice
  • Producing appropriate documentation and maintaining accurate case records
  • Working closely with the wider HR/People team to help reduce the current ER case backlog
  • Identifying practical solutions while effectively managing risk

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll ideally be:

  • An experienced ER Advisor / Employee Relations Specialist / HR Advisor with significant ER exposure
