A Place to Create Moments That Matter

Salary: £39,735 per annum
Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am-5pm.
Thousands of families across the country rely on us for a safe, affordable home. And as the housing crisis deepens, the work we do has never been more important.
It’s this belief - that everyone deserves a place to call home - that drives everything we do. Together, we find new ways to understand and champion our customers, support them and drive positive change.
For a career that means more and makes a meaningful impact on society, this is the place to be.
Help Create a Workplace Where People Can Thrive
At Accent, we're more than a housing provider. We're a place where colleagues are supported to do their best work, leaders are empowered to make great people decisions, and customers remain at the heart of everything we do.
We're looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our People Team and play a key role in delivering a fair, supportive and high-performing workplace. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a varied ER caseload, influence leaders across the business, and make a real difference to colleague experiences during some of the most important moments of their working lives.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Employee Relations Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for ER matters, providing expert, coaching-led support to leaders across Accent.
You'll manage a diverse and often complex caseload, providing practical, balanced and legally sound advice on matters including:
- Absence management
- Performance and capability issues
- Flexible working requests
- Conduct matters
- Organisational change and consultation activity
- Disciplinary and grievance cases
You'll work closely with leaders to build their confidence in handling people matters early, fairly and effectively, helping to achieve positive outcomes while reducing organisational risk.
Beyond casework, you'll use ER insights and trends to identify emerging risks, recommend preventative actions and contribute to continuous improvement across the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
