My client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their Employee Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys delivering a high level of customer service while ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time.

The successful candidate will provide first-line payroll support, manage payroll administration activities, and work closely with employees, managers, and third-party providers to deliver an efficient payroll service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line payroll support via phone, email, and helpdesk queries.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service when responding to payroll-related enquiries.
  • Administer and process payroll across multiple payrolls.
  • Ensure payroll information is processed accurately and in line with payroll deadlines and schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with HMRC regulations, payroll legislation, and company procedures.
  • Handle confidential employee information in accordance with GDPR requirements.
  • Support the resolution of payroll discrepancies and queries.
  • Liaise with third-party providers, including pension and payroll-related organisations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and administrative tasks as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Assistant, or Payroll Officer role.
  • Good understanding of payroll processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of HMRC regulations and payroll compliance.
  • Experience handling payroll queries and providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using payroll systems would be advantageous.
