Who we are:

Reed's Employability Division aims to positively transform lives by helping individuals who are unemployed, economically inactive, or facing challenges such as health conditions, disabilities, or caring responsibilities to find sustainable employment. Through a wide range of tailored support services including one-to-one careers guidance, CV writing, interview preparation, and skills training, we have supported over 250,000 people on their journey into work.

Youth Jobs Guarantee is a mandatory programme for 18-21-year-olds who have been on Universal Credit for 18 months or more, providing a fully subsidised six-month paid job of up to 25 hours per week at minimum wage.

What is the role about?

Reporting to the Employer Services Director, the Employer Account Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective performance, productivity, and development of medium-sized regional employer accounts in Youth Guarantee areas (multiple contracts). Building, developing, and maintaining excellent employer relationships and a pipeline of placements will be key to supporting the business in maintaining its aim of being the partner of choice in the communities it operates in, and the Employer Account Manager will have a big role to play in delivering this vision.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
