This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative Employment & Skills team as an Employment & Skills Advisor. We are a customer-focused team dedicated to creating positive, inclusive opportunities for lasting change to people and communities. You will be working across the Karbon footprint, as the team plays a vital role in strengthening communities, supporting sustainable tenancies by helping individuals achieve their career aspirations.
About The Role
Our work is rooted in the values of Karbon Homes. This role is heavily client focused providing Careers Information Advice and Guidance, using up to date labour market information to guide and support clients career aspirations. You'll empower clients to identify barriers and initiate solutions to achieve their personal career aspirations. A key element of the role involves Employer Engagement to build excellent and supportive relationships with local employers to generate inclusive employment opportunities for clients.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Employment and Skills Advisor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality careers, employment, training and education advice and guidance to diverse client groups.
You'll be skilled in working independently and collaboratively across a variety of projects and programmes, using a client-centred approach to support individuals in achieving their career aspirations.
The successful candidate will have experience of building strong relationships with employers, training providers and partner organisations to create employment and progression opportunities.

You'll be confident in identifying and addressing barriers to employment, empowering clients to develop practical solutions and personal action plans.
You'll also demonstrate the ability to critically assess employment and skills provision, identify gaps and opportunities, and develop partnerships and initiatives that enhance service outcomes and maximise opportunities for clients.
Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, alongside a commitment to delivering positive, measurable outcomes for customers.

Key Details
Employment and Skills Advisor - Permanent role
Salary - £38,401 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2,405 per annum
Location: Gosforth Office (Newcastle) or Greengates Office (Stanley)
Regular travel will be required
37 hours per week with agile working
