The Opportunity
Digital Employer Engagement Manager in Chesterfield
You know the UK digital and technology sector, its employers, and how they hire. As our Digital Employer Engagement Manager in Chesterfield, you will turn that knowledge into vacancies, interviews, and jobs for adults completing our funded Cyber Security, Data Analytics, and Digital Marketing programs.
You will work from home and cover the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. You will own our digital employer engagement and build partnerships that employers come back to.
Our Culture: How We Work
- Integrity: We consistently uphold quality and professionalism in all we do.
- Accountability: We take responsibility for our actions. Asking for help is encouraged.
- Be Better: We set high aspirations for all and always strive for improvement.
Your Role in Practice: A Typical Week at Think Employment
Your week is spent with employers. You will reach hiring managers, business owners, and senior decision makers through direct outreach, LinkedIn, referrals, and your own network. You will work mainly across the East Midlands, with South Yorkshire as your second area. When it helps, you will meet employers in person and represent Think Employment at industry and networking events.
When an employer is hiring, you will learn what they need and match them with learners who are ready. You will then take each opportunity from first contact through to interview and a confirmed job.
You will work alongside our Employability, IAG, Curriculum, Contracts, and Marketing teams. You will keep employer, vacancy, interview, and outcome records accurate in our CRM, and report your pipeline against agreed KPIs and contract outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing: Your Impact as a Digital Employer Engagement Manager
- Build a digital employer pipeline: You will use your sector knowledge and networks to win new employer relationships across Cyber Security, Data, Digital Marketing, and IT, so learners have real opportunities waiting for them.
- Turn relationships into jobs: You will secure vacancies and interviews and manage each one through to a confirmed employment outcome. Success is measured in learners starting work, not in meetings held.
- Keep employers coming back: You will build repeat partnerships, so employers return to us each time they recruit. You will also spot where employers could use funded training to develop their existing staff.
- Shape what we teach: You will feed employer insight and labor market intelligence back into our curriculum, IAG, and employability work, so learners are prepared for what employers actually ask for.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
