About the Role

Are you passionate about building strong relationships with employers and creating meaningful work experience opportunities for learners? We’re looking for a proactive and driven Employer Engagement Officer to join our Apprenticeships & Business Development team.

In this role, you’ll work collaboratively across curriculum areas to ensure learners access high-quality work placements that support their development and career aspirations. You’ll also play a key role in developing employer partnerships aligned with the strategic goals of the College and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor work experience placements, ensuring learners meet their hours targets.
  • Conduct health & safety risk assessments for placement sites.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers to identify new opportunities.
  • Provide regular progress reports and performance data to the Business Development Manager.
  • Collaborate with Progress Coaches, Course Leaders, and Curriculum Managers to support learner success.
  • Attend networking events and promote the College’s services.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in sales, recruitment, or business development.
  • Proven track record of achieving KPIs and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines.
  • A clean driving licence and access to a car.
