Role Overview
Member of the Employers' Panel
Remuneration: £2,040 per annum, paid monthly in arrears (£170) | Time commitment: approximately seven days a year | Term: up to four years, with the potential for reappointment.
Please note – Interviews will be held on 3rd of November and 16th of November.
This is a unique opportunity to join Nest's Employers' Panel and help ensure the experiences and priorities of employers, intermediaries and connectors are represented in the decisions we make. As part of a small, established employers panel that provides independent advice to Nest Corporation on the operation and development of the scheme for employers, you'll provide constructive challenge, bring fresh and different ways of thinking, and act as a sounding board on key strategic developments. Your insight will help Nest better engage and shape services that meet the needs of employers, intermediaries and members.
We'd especially welcome those with first-hand experience of using Nest's employer services, managing workplace pension arrangements, payroll systems or employer accounts, particularly within small or micro businesses. You may bring practical knowledge of how employers use Nest's services behind the scenes, alongside the ability to grasp new ideas, think creatively and confidently offer an independent perspective.
We're also particularly interested in hearing from people who work with, and are able to represent the views of younger members, employ others or act as a connector between employers and workplace pension services.
The commitment includes quarterly four-to-five-hour Panel meetings, an additional meeting with the Members' Panel and Nest Corporation Board, preparation time and training.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
