Role Overview
I am working with a market-leading Northwest law firm, renowned for its strong client service and people-focused culture, to recruit a qualified Employment Solicitor to join its collaborative Employment team. The role will involve managing a varied caseload, primarily consisting of Respondent work, advising clients across a broad range of employment matters, and supporting the development of new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload, providing clear, timely and commercially focused advice to clients.
- Liaise with clients, Counsel, experts and other parties, including attending Court and Tribunal hearings where required.
- Work collaboratively on complex matters, supporting senior fee earners and delegating and supervising work for junior team members.
- Ensure matters are progressed efficiently and in line with compliance requirements and relevant Court/Tribunal deadlines.
- Contribute to client development, team targets and the wider success of the firm through collaboration and sharing expertise.

Requirements
- Qualified Associate/Senior Associate Solicitor with 5–10 years’ PQE, ideally with experience in a commercial law firm and a strong background in Respondent/business client work.
- Experience advising business owners, senior managers and HR teams on day-to-day employment matters, including drafting and reviewing contracts, handbooks and senior-level agreements.
- Proven experience managing Employment Tribunal matters through to conclusion, ideally acting for Respondents, alongside experience supporting corporate transactions.
- Strong client focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to build effective client relationships.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team, using initiative and maintaining high standards of service.
