Associate or Senior Associate
Hybrid working - Birmingham
Salary up to £100,000
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading international law firm with a highly regarded Employment practice. The firm are recruiting at either Associate or Senior Associate level.
Advising a diverse client base ranging from multinational organisations to fast-growing businesses, you will work on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters alongside recognised specialists in the field.
This role offers exposure to complex workplace disputes, strategic advisory work and cross-border matters, providing an excellent platform for career development within a collaborative and market-leading team.
Role
- Advise clients on a broad range of respondent employment law matters, including workplace disputes, investigations and strategic HR issues
- Manage Employment Tribunal litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing witness evidence and supporting advocacy
- Advise on restructurings, redundancies, TUPE transfers, disciplinary and grievance matters and senior exits
- Support corporate transactions on employment-related issues
- Draft commercially focused advice and build trusted client relationships
- Deliver client training, webinars and knowledge updates
- Support business development initiatives, thought leadership and networking activities
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the continued development of the team

Candidate Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with experience in respondent employment law
- Experience gained within a leading law firm or comparable in-house environment
- Strong Employment Tribunal experience and technical employment law knowledge
- Excellent drafting, analytical and case management skills
- Commercially minded with strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative approach with an interest in business development and mentoring
