Salary/package: £25,948.96 FTE (£12,623.81 pro rata)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Part time, 18 hours per week
EmploymentCheck are looking for a well organised administrator with strong attention to detail to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in employment screening, safer recruitment and HR systems.
Who we are
EmploymentCheck, part of Commercial Services Group (CSG) are registered with the Disclosure and Barring Service to carry out criminal record checks across the UK. Additional services offered include Employment References, Right to Work, Digital Identity and Social Media checks. The team are focused on providing outstanding customer service and expertise in the form of pre-employment vetting checks.
Why this role matters
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering EmploymentCheck services, ensuring DBS, Right to Work, reference and social media checks are processed accurately and within agreed timescales.
This is a role where accuracy, confidentiality and customer service are essential with responsibility for processing sensitive information, maintaining records and supporting customers throughout the checking process.
What you’ll be doing
- Processing EmploymentCheck information accurately and in line with relevant procedures, regulations and standards.
- Conducting identity verification appointments and checking applicant information.
- Creating and maintaining accurate employee records across HR and service management systems.
- Monitoring daily reports and following up outstanding DBS checks to support timely completion.
- Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email, providing clear information and appropriate solutions.
- Building effective relationships with HR colleagues, managers, employees, customers and suppliers.
- Maintaining accurate records while protecting sensitive information and complying with data protection requirements.
- Managing routine and unexpected priorities to meet service levels and performance targets.
- Supporting process improvements, system testing and EmploymentCheck-related projects.

What we’re looking for
- Proven experience of working within a busy administrative or operational office environment.
- Knowledge of pre-employment checks including DBS and Right to Work requirements.
- Strong IT skills particularly the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience using Oracle HR, iTrent or another integrated HR system is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- The ability to organise competing priorities and deliver accurate work to tight deadlines.
- Clear communication and strong customer relationship-building skills.
