Role Overview
This role is focused on building strong relationships with employers and creating meaningful employment opportunities for participants. Working closely with colleagues, employers and external partners, you will understand individual participant needs and work proactively with businesses across a range of sectors to identify and develop suitable paid employment, placement and volunteering opportunities.
The role requires a proactive, organised and person-centred approach, with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Magden Park, Llantrisant (CF72 8XT)
Working pattern: 35.5 hours per week
Salary: £28,557
Driving license and own car: essential criteria for applicants due to the outreach nature of this role.
This role is part of Fedcap UK’s Economic Development & Workforce Development practice area and you will be working for ELITE Supported Employment.
About the Role
- Build effective working relationships with project colleagues, employers and external partners.
- Work collaboratively with the Employer Engagement Team to identify and develop employment opportunities for participants.
- Engage with participants using a person-centred approach, understanding their individual needs and employment goals.
- Develop a network of employers across a range of sectors, creating opportunities for paid employment, placements and volunteering.
- Manage new and existing employer accounts, negotiating opportunities and financial arrangements where appropriate.
- Work closely with Jobcentre Plus and other external partners to support participant outcomes.
- Represent the organisation at job fairs, networking events and relevant forums to develop new connections and opportunities.
- Support employers to understand and work towards becoming Disability Confident.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with GDPR and organisational requirements.
- Monitor performance against agreed KPIs, identifying and implementing improvements where needed.
- Ensure agreed quality, compliance and performance standards are consistently achieved.
- Actively contribute to team meetings and provide support and cover across the wider team when required.

About You

- Full driving license and access to a vehicle. (E)
- Evidence of transferable relationship-building skills. (E)
- Drive to meet performance targets in a fast-paced environment. (E)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. (E)
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills. (E)
- Ability to work independently and in a team. (E)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills. (E)
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Email, and PowerPoint. (E)
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel across Wales including overnight stays. (E)
- Commitment to training in Safeguarding, Equality, and GDPR. (E)
- Ability to speak and/or write fluent Welsh. (D)
- Experience in industrial/commercial environments. (D)
- Understanding of employment issues for disabled individuals. (D)
- Ability to manage a caseload and meet progression targets. (D)
- Understanding of GDPR, Welfare Benefits, and employment law. (D)
