Help young people take their next step into work

We’re looking for an Employment Facilitator/Trainer, supporting young people to build the confidence, skills and resilience they need to move closer to and into sustainable employment.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping young people understand their strengths, overcome barriers and develop the practical skills they need for the world of work. You’ll combine engaging group learning with tailored one-to-one support, helping participants develop everything from communication and teamwork to digital skills, job searching and interview confidence.

Working closely with Job Brokers, employers and local support services, you’ll help create a joined-up journey for every participant — including preparing young people for employer-led sector tasters and connecting them with the right learning, wellbeing and specialist support.

If you’re someone who enjoys helping people grow in confidence, develop new skills and take positive steps towards their future, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design and deliver engaging, interactive group sessions that build practical life, workplace and employability skills.
  • Support young people to develop communication, teamwork, problem-solving, resilience, digital skills and positive workplace behaviours.
  • Provide tailored one-to-one coaching and guidance, helping participants understand their strengths, identify goals and develop realistic progression plans.
  • Help young people understand the world of work and build the confidence and workplace readiness they need to secure and sustain employment.
  • Deliver practical support with CVs, applications, job searching, interview preparation and understanding employer expectations.
  • Work alongside employers and colleagues to ensure learning reflects current local labour market needs and workplace expectations.
  • Monitor participant engagement and progress, adapting learning and support to ensure each young person receives the right intervention at the right time.
  • Work collaboratively with Job Brokers, Jobcentre Plus, employers, training providers, community organisations and other partners.
  • Develop and maintain engaging learning materials, guides, handouts and other resources to support personal development, employability and progression.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in people who can engage and motivate young people, build confidence and genuinely want to help people overcome barriers and succeed.

You’ll ideally have experience in employability, youth work, education, careers, coaching, training, learning or another role supporting people to develop their skills and progress towards employment.

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Deliver engaging group learning to people with different abilities, confidence levels and support needs.
  • Build positive, trusted relationships with young people and provide empathetic, practical and strengths-based one-to-one support.
  • Engage, motivate and build confidence within a group setting through strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Help people develop practical employability, workplace and life skills and overcome barriers to employment, education or training.
  • Understand the challenges young people can face when entering the labour market, including limited work experience, confidence, skills gaps, caring responsibilities and wellbeing barriers.
  • Adapt your approach to meet the needs of young people from diverse backgrounds and with different support requirements.
  • Stay organised, manage competing priorities and respond effectively to changing participant needs and programme requirements.
  • Work towards positive participant progression, employment outcomes and contractual targets.
  • Bring a genuine commitment to tackling youth unemployment and helping young people reach their potential.

Experience of youth employment, welfare-to-work, employability, education, skills, careers or community programmes would be valuable, as would experience supporting young people with childcare or caring responsibilities, wellbeing needs or other barriers to employment.
