Employment Investigation Specialist

Elevate is recruiting a mid-level Employment Investigation Specialist, who will be responsible for managing routine workplace and policy-related investigations, while also serving as a quality and coaching resource for junior team members. This role handles medium-complexity matters from intake through draft findings, performs evidence review and fact analysis, and supports interview planning and execution. The Mid-Level Investigator is expected to exercise sound judgment, identify and escalate higher-risk issues appropriately, and ensure investigations are completed consistently, accurately, and in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and quality standards. This role is well-suited for professionals with experience in workplace investigations, employee relations, compliance investigations, legal operations, employment litigation support, or similar fact-finding environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage routine workplace and policy investigations from intake through draft findings, subject to established escalation protocols.
  • Review documents, evidence, witness statements, and investigation materials to develop factual analyses and findings.
  • Prepare investigation plans, chronologies, issue maps, evidence summaries, interview outlines, and draft reports.
  • Conduct or support witness interviews and follow-up fact gathering activities as permitted by the engagement model.
  • Draft investigation memoranda, findings summaries, recommendations, and supporting documentation.
  • Review and refine the work product of junior investigators, including chronologies, evidence logs, summaries, and case documentation.
  • Apply quality assurance standards and provide coaching and feedback to junior team members.
  • Identify complex issues, legal concerns, policy interpretation questions, credibility issues, or high-risk matters requiring escalation.
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation within customer-approved case management systems.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and service level expectations within a high-volume investigations environment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, process enhancements, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
