Employment Law Legal Secretary / Career Paralegal
Location: Crowthorne, Berkshire
Salary: Competitive – flexible depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Parkside Recruitment is working with a well-established law firm based in Crowthorne, Berkshire, who are looking to appoint an experienced Legal Secretary or career Paralegal to join their Employment Law team.
This opportunity is specifically suited to an established legal support professional who has built strong, hands-on experience within a law firm environment. The client is looking for someone robust, highly organised and confident supporting a busy Employment Law fee earner, with the ability to manage their workload independently and provide a consistently high level of support.
Previous Employment Law experience is strongly preferred, and the client is particularly interested in candidates who have developed their career within legal secretarial, legal support, or career Paralegal positions.
This is not a graduate or university-leaver opportunity and would best suit someone looking to continue developing a long-term career within legal support or as a career Paralegal.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
