Employment Paralegal
Location: Nottingham
Salary: up to £26,600
This role is for a proactive and commercially focused Paralegal to join an Employment Litigation Team, providing support on employment tribunal matters throughout the life of a claim. This is a practical, involved position where you’ll play an important role in progressing cases, from analysing evidence and identifying key issues through to assisting with the development of clear, commercially driven defence strategies for our clients.
Role Responsibilities
The role will include:
- Employment tribunal casework – supporting solicitors with the full lifecycle of employment tribunal claims, including preparing case overviews, reviewing pleadings, organising and assessing evidence, identifying potential risks, and highlighting opportunities to strengthen the overall case strategy.
- Document review and drafting – examining relevant documents, employer records, and correspondence to identify important issues, while assisting with the preparation of litigation documents including ET3 responses, initial witness statement drafts, schedules, chronologies, and other case-related documentation.
- Bundle preparation and case administration – assisting with the preparation and organisation of hearing bundles, monitoring key deadlines, ensuring compliance with tribunal directions and orders, liaising with counsel where required, and making sure documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within the required timescales.
- Employment law developments – assisting with the preparation of clear, practical, and accessible client updates covering notable tribunal decisions, emerging employment law trends, and relevant legislative developments.
- New client onboarding – working alongside solicitors to introduce new clients to our processes, helping them understand how employment tribunal matters are managed and ensuring they have the appropriate support and information from the outset.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
