Employment Associate/Senior Associate | 3+ PQE | London

A highly regarded London employment team is seeking an experienced Associate to join its growing practice. The team acts for a broad range of market-leading organisations across the financial services, healthcare and wider commercial sectors and is recognised as a top-tier practice by both leading legal directories.

The practice has an established reputation in the London market, advising major financial institutions, household-name corporates and prominent organisations across the public and independent healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising a diverse portfolio of employers on a broad range of employment matters, with a particular focus on financial services clients.
  • Handling complex contentious matters, including discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract claims before the Employment Tribunal and High Court.
  • Supporting non-contentious projects such as restructurings, redundancies and TUPE exercises, including multi-jurisdictional matters.
  • Providing day-to-day employment advice to clients by telephone and email.
  • Supporting and supervising junior lawyers, trainees and paralegals and contributing to their development.
  • Playing an active role in business development, including networking, client seminars and training sessions.
  • Contributing to wider team initiatives such as knowledge sharing and internal training.

Skills & Experience

  • Associate would be ideally 3+ years' PQE, with Senior Associate ideally being 5+ years' PQE.
  • Experience advising commercial or multinational clients would be advantageous.
  • Strong experience handling employment litigation and Employment Tribunal claims.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to provide pragmatic and solutions-focused advice.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, adaptable and proactive approach.
