About the Role

Our client, a global enterprise technology company operating across the UK, EMEA and beyond, is seeking a UK-based labour and employment lawyer to join on secondment, reporting to two senior in-house employment lawyers. The focus is triaging and handling employee relations matters across a broad set of jurisdictions, alongside broader HR operations support.

  • Start Date: 24 August 2026
  • Capacity: Full Time
  • Duration: 6 months+
  • Location: Hybrid (2 - 3 days per week in the London office)
  • IR35: Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage and handle UK and Czech Republic employee relations inquiries, escalating high-risk, high-visibility senior leader or discrimination matters
  • Triage and handle Spain and India employment relations queries
  • Support employee relations matters in high-volume countries including Spain, Switzerland, and India
  • Support employee relations across EMEA and LATAM on performance, conduct, absence, parental rights, and discrimination
  • Act as first point of contact for EMEA-related Global Talent Acquisition questions (Early Careers, non-competes, contract/offer withdrawals)
  • Support data privacy and compliance, including HR data subject access requests across the UK and EMEA
  • Provide employment law input on commercial contracts, including misclassification and TUPE matters

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum seven years' global employment law experience
  • Deep expertise in UK employment law
  • Experience advising on Spain and India employment law preferred
  • Additional EMEA knowledge a plus
  • General knowledge of works councils, with ability to issue-spot related issues
  • Legal AI experience a plus
