Job Title
We are pleased to be working with one of the most highly respected law firms in the South West. We are seeking applications from qualified lawyers who are either already working in the region or those that might be considering a relocation to one of the most beautiful regions in the UK. This firm has a number of offices located throughout the South West and this role can be based in any of them, with a good mix of hybrid working.
Role Description
This full-time Employment Solicitor (minimum 2 years' PQE) role is based in either Devon or Somerset with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing a mix of office and work-from-home days.
You will join a leading employment team that advise employer clients across a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious matters. You’ll deliver clear, commercially focused advice, build client relationships and work alongside experienced colleagues on complex disputes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload under supervision, providing excellent client service.
- Advise on dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, redundancy, disciplinary and grievance matters, and employment aspects of corporate transactions.
- Draft and review employment contracts, settlement agreements, policies and procedures.
- Handle Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to hearing, preparing pleadings, witness statements and bundles.
- Conduct legal research and support senior lawyers on complex disputes and high-value matters.
- Help scope and price work, manage time recording and billing, and meet agreed targets.
- Contribute to business development through articles, marketing materials and networking.
- Support junior colleagues and contribute ideas to improve team performance.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment law and experience as a qualified solicitor (2 years' plus PQE)
- Qualified to practice law in England & Wales.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, work collaboratively in a team, and adapt to hybrid working arrangements.
