Employment Lawyer (3–5 PQE) | EMEA Employment Advisory | 4-Month Contract

📅 Start: ASAP / On short notice
🕒 Full-Time
📍 Location: Hybrid (London)

Elevate Legal Talent is recruiting an Employment Lawyer for a four-month in-house secondment with a leading global technology and digital infrastructure organisation. Supporting the company's Global Employment Legal Team, you'll provide practical employment law advice across the EMEA region while collaborating with Legal and HR teams on international matters where required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with around 3–5 years' employment law experience who is looking to gain or further develop in-house experience within a global organisation.

You'll work closely with experienced employment lawyers and HR professionals, advising on a broad range of day-to-day employment matters across the EMEA region, while also supporting international matters where required.

The Role

As part of the Global Employment Legal Team, you'll provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to HR and business stakeholders on a wide variety of employment law issues.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Advising on day-to-day employment law matters across EMEA.
  • Supporting employee relations matters, grievances, disciplinary issues and workplace investigations.
  • Advising on performance management, sickness absence, family leave, workplace accommodations and return-to-work matters.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts and contingent workforce issues.
  • Advising on terminations, restructures, redundancies and organisational change.
  • Assisting with collective consultation processes and engagement with works councils and employee representative bodies.
  • Reviewing and updating employment policies, procedures and HR documentation.
  • Liaising with external counsel on jurisdiction-specific employment law matters.
  • Monitoring legal developments and supporting wider employment law projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
