Senior Associate – Employment | Glasgow | FTC Maternity Cover | Part or Full Time
I’m currently looking for an experienced Employment Senior Associate (5+ years’ PQE) for a fixed-term maternity cover with a well-regarded Glasgow team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a genuinely varied employment practice, with a strong focus on contentious work, Employment Tribunal litigation and advocacy, alongside advisory matters.
The role is hybrid and can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, making it an attractive option for someone looking for a bit of flexibility.
You’ll be working closely with a very well-established Glasgow partner who is friendly, approachable and refreshingly down to earth – someone who genuinely enjoys working collaboratively and is looking for the same in a colleague.

THE ROLE:
You’ll advise predominantly employer clients across a broad range of employment issues, including:
- Employment Tribunal litigation and advocacy
- Complex HR and workplace matters
- Employment contracts, pleadings and other drafting
- Contentious and non-contentious employment advice
- Client relationship management
- Supporting junior lawyers and contributing to the wider team
- Business development and developing client relationships
ABOUT YOU:
I’m looking for someone with:

- 3 yrs PQE +, predominantly in employment law
- Strong technical employment law experience
- Solid contentious and Employment Tribunal experience
- Excellent drafting and advisory skills
- A commercial, pragmatic approach to client advice
- Confidence managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Experience supervising or mentoring more junior colleagues
- A proactive, collaborative and personable approach
