Exciting opportunity for an employment lawyer - FTC - 12 months to start asap

Cutting edge PE backed business - best in class team

REMOTE or hybrid two days in London

Our client is a highly regarded, private equity-backed international business, recognised as a leader in its sector and known for its entrepreneurial culture and continued growth. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Lawyer to join the legal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The role offers flexibility, with the option to work fully remotely or on a hybrid basis from the London office (approximately two days per week). We are seeking a UK-qualified employment lawyer with ideally around 4–8 years' PQE who is looking to take on a broad and commercially focused role within a fast-paced international environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Global Head of Employment, you will advise on a wide range of UK employment matters while also supporting employment issues and strategic projects across Europe.
  • The role offers significant scope to broaden your international experience, working alongside a highly regarded and supportive leader who is committed to developing the successful candidate's exposure to cross-border employment law and multi-jurisdictional matters.
  • This is an opportunity to join a high-performing legal team at an exciting stage in the company's growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in partnering with the business, helping to shape and strengthen the employment function while providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice to stakeholders across the organisation.

The business is looking for someone who can join in September. The contract is for an initial 12-month term and, whilst there may be scope for an extension, this will ultimately depend on future business requirements and private equity funding.
