Partner Opportunity in Employment Law at a Leading Belfast Firm
We are working with a top tier national law firm based in Belfast for a Partner to join their Employment team. £120,000-£150,000 plus bonus.
The Role:
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing a highly regarded Employment practice in Belfast, advising employers across a broad range of sectors on complex contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The team works closely with HR teams, in-house counsel, and senior management, providing advice on both day-to-day employment issues and strategic workforce matters.
- Advising on employment contracts and policies
- Restructuring and redundancies
- TUPE
- Collective consultation
- Workplace discrimination
- Dismissals and settlement agreements
- Representing clients in complex Employment Tribunal proceedings

At Partner level, the successful candidate will also take a leading role in developing the Belfast employment offering, building and managing key client relationships, generating new business, supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to the wider strategic growth of the practice.
Essential Criteria:
- Highly experienced solicitor
- Strong background in employment law. In-depth experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience handling client relationships
- Ability to attract new business
- Willingness to mentor junior members of the firm
- Technically excellent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
