Employment Solicitor – 3-5 PQE

Full-time – 5 days per week preferred
(4 days considered for exceptional candidate - pro/rata salary)
Fully Remote / London Office / Hybrid

About the Role

Herefords Employment Solicitors is a growing specialist employment law practice advising employees, senior executives, and employers across the full range of UK employment law.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Employment Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE to join the firm.

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, pragmatic, and capable of independently managing their own caseload with minimal supervision. The caseload will be predominantly employee/claimant work, together with employer/respondent matters.

The position is preferably full-time, five days per week. It can be undertaken fully remotely from anywhere in the UK, from our central London office, or on a hybrid basis. We may consider four days per week for an exceptional candidate.

The Work

The successful candidate will handle a varied employment law caseload including:

  • Settlement agreements and negotiated exits
  • Unfair dismissal
  • Discrimination and whistleblowing
  • Grievances, disciplinary, and capability/performance matters
  • Redundancy and restructuring
  • ACAS Early Conciliation and settlement negotiations
  • Employment Tribunal claims for claimants and respondents
  • Drafting ET1s, ET3s, schedules of loss, witness statements, and other Tribunal documents
  • Disclosure and hearing preparation
  • General employment law advice to employees and employers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
