Employment Lawyer (4+ PQE)

Central London
£110,000 - £130,000

Nixon McQuade are working with a leading International Law Firm seeking an ambitious Employment Associate / Senior Associate to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an employment lawyer to join a highly regarded and collaborative practice, gaining broad exposure across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The successful candidate will work with a varied client base and have the opportunity to develop their technical expertise, client relationships and wider commercial skills.

Role

  • Advising clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Managing and assisting with Employment Tribunal litigation, including discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims
  • Advising on disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and capability matters
  • Advising on contractual issues, workplace disputes and employee relations matters
  • Supporting clients on TUPE, restructuring and organisational change
  • Assisting with employment-related aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence and transaction documentation
  • Advising on breach of contract and business protection matters
  • Supporting cross-border employment matters and coordinating international advice where required
  • Drafting contracts, policies, pleadings, witness statements, advice notes and client correspondence
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and providing commercially focused advice
  • Contributing to business development, networking and thought leadership initiatives
  • Managing a varied caseload while working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor with experience in employment law
  • Experience handling or assisting with Employment Tribunal litigation
  • Strong understanding of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Experience advising on disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and contractual issues
  • Exposure to TUPE, restructuring or corporate transaction work
  • Strong legal drafting and communication skills
  • Commercially minded with a practical and solutions-focused approach
  • Confident dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proactive, collaborative and committed to delivering excellent client service
  • An interest in business development and contributing to the growth of the practice
