Employment Solicitor | Associate – Senior Associate | Liverpool

I’m working with a highly regarded specialist employment law firm in Liverpool that is looking to add an experienced Employment Solicitor at Associate to Senior Associate level to its team.

This is a genuinely interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys the law, wants to work closely with clients and is looking to build their career within a specialist employment practice.

The firm has a strong reputation for the quality of its work and client service, advising established organisations, HR teams and senior decision-makers across the UK and internationally. The work is varied and often complex, including:

  • Day-to-day employment and HR advice
  • Industrial relations
  • Discrimination and whistleblowing matters
  • Restrictive covenants
  • Employment Tribunal claims
  • High Court proceedings

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

One of the things that particularly stands out about the role is the firm's approach. There are no billable hour or financial targets. The focus is on providing high-quality, commercially sensible advice and achieving the right outcome for clients.

You'll have early exposure to clients and responsibility, while working alongside a supportive team of experienced employment specialists. The firm is also very much office-based, with a collaborative culture where people genuinely work together and share knowledge.

They're looking for someone who is technically strong, commercially minded and confident dealing with clients. PQE is less important than having the right attitude, ability and ambition to develop as an employment specialist.
