About The Role

Employment Solicitor, Birmingham: A full-time position offering £70,000–£90,000 per annum, dependent on experience. You will join a supportive, ambitious team, taking ownership of a varied caseload for businesses and organisations. Responsibilities span everyday advisory work, including restructures, redundancies, and disciplinary procedures, alongside involvement in complex disputes. The Role

You’ll become part of a supportive, ambitious team where you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, build trusted client relationships and play an active role in the continued development of the practice.

  • Advise clients across the full range of employment matters, combining day-to-day advisory work with involvement in complex and potentially high-profile disputes.
  • Providing practical advice on workplace issues, including restructures, redundancies, disciplinary and grievance matters, absence and performance management, TUPE and Settlement Agreements.
  • Handling Employment Tribunal litigation and supporting clients through more complex employment disputes and related proceedings.
  • Advising clients through sensitive workplace situations and investigations, balancing legal risk with commercial and reputational considerations.
  • Building lasting relationships with clients and becoming a trusted source of employment advice.
  • Supporting the development of junior lawyers through supervision, mentoring and sharing your technical expertise.
  • Contributing to the growth of the employment practice through networking, profile-raising and business development activity.

Skills Required

  • Applications are sought from Employment Solicitors with a minimum of 4 Years PQE.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience across a broad range of employment law.
  • Confidence handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
  • Experience managing Employment Tribunal claims and advising clients through disputes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to establish trusted relationships with clients.
  • Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring junior colleagues.
  • A commercial outlook and enthusiasm for contributing to the wider success of a growing practice.
