Employment Solicitor - Bristol

A well-established national law firm is looking to recruit a junior level Employment Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its growing Employment team. You'll manage your own caseload of employment tribunal matters, predominantly acting for legal expenses insurers, while also gaining exposure to advisory and non-contentious employment work for commercial clients.

The Role

You'll manage a varied caseload of employment matters from initial advice through to conclusion, providing practical, commercially focused guidance to clients while working closely with experienced colleagues.

  • Managing a caseload of Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish
  • Advising clients on potential employment disputes and litigation strategy
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements
  • Negotiating settlements and instructing Counsel where appropriate
  • Providing employment law advice to insurer and commercial clients
  • Assisting with contracts of employment, staff handbooks and other advisory work
  • Contributing to client training sessions, legal updates and business development initiatives

What experience is required:

  • Qualified Solicitor OR Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) - NQ level
  • Previous employment law experience, including experience gained during training or during qualification
  • Experience managing your own caseload
  • Experience handling Employment Tribunal matters
  • Strong drafting and communication skills
