Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our team. This is a full-time, office-based position focused on advising and representing clients in employment law matters. The successful candidate will be confident managing a varied caseload independently, including both contentious and non-contentious employment issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, workplace disputes, and contracts.
  • Draft employment contracts, staff handbooks, settlement agreements, and other employment-related documentation.
  • Handle employment tribunal claims from initial instruction through to representation at hearings.
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients to achieve effective resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
  • Keep up to date with legislative developments and case law in employment law.
  • Where required, collaborate with colleagues across immigration and civil law practice areas.

Requirements

  • Newly Grad to 2 years’ post-study legal work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and tribunal procedures.
  • Proven ability to handle both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong client care skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in immigration or civil law will be considered an advantage.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
