Senior Associate – Employment Solicitor
Location: Northampton
Salary: DOE
PQE: 5+
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate Employment Solicitor to join a highly regarded and well-established law firm in Northampton.
This is an opportunity with a busy, successful employment team that has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice to an impressive client base. The team is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced employment solicitor who is ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and ambitious environment.
The Opportunity
You will join a well-established employment team handling a broad and interesting caseload, advising both employers and individuals across a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
The role will provide the opportunity to:
- Advise a varied portfolio of clients on a broad range of employment matters.
- Handle complex and high-value contentious employment work, including employment tribunal claims.
- Advise on contracts, policies, restructures, redundancies, disciplinary and grievance matters, and senior exits.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Play an active role in business development and the continued growth of the employment practice.
- Support and develop more junior members of the team.
- Work closely with colleagues across the wider firm, benefiting from a genuinely full-service offering.

About You
We are looking for an experienced Employment Solicitor at Senior Associate level, or someone ready to make that step.
You will ideally have:
- Strong experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Excellent technical and drafting skills.
- A commercially minded approach and the ability to provide pragmatic, client-focused advice.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to manage your own caseload and take responsibility for client relationships.
- An interest in business development and contributing to the continued success of the team.
