We’re delighted to be partnering with a top Law Firm in their search for an ambitious Employment Solicitor to join the ranks of their pre-eminent Employment Law team in Belfast at Senior Associate Level.

They provide unrivalled service supporting clients, including many of the world’s leading businesses, on their HR, employment and immigration law needs domestically and internationally.

Your New Role

As the Senior Associate Employment Solicitor, you will handle a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, and deal with a wide range of clients. You will provide high-quality employment law advice and representation to employer clients, delivering practical, commercially focused solutions while contributing to the continued development of the firm’s Employment Law practice in Northern Ireland.

Matters will include:

  • Unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal
  • Discrimination (sex, race, disability, age, religion/belief, sexual orientation)
  • Redundancy and restructuring
  • TUPE
  • Disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Employment contracts, policies, and handbooks
  • Settlement agreements and terminations
  • Managing employment tribunal claims from inception to hearing, including advocacy where appropriate
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, contracts, and settlement documentation
  • Providing clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice tailored to client needs

What You Need To Succeed

As the Senior Associate Employment Solicitor, you will be a qualified solicitor in Northern Ireland, England and Wales or the Republic of Ireland.

You will be 5 years’ PQE+ and gained the benefit of training and development in a well-respected employment team.

You must have comprehensive employment law knowledge, a strong analytical ability, and a clear communication style (both spoken and written). A commercial approach to client service is essential, and you must enjoy doing business development and, above all, must be a team player.
