My client is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor (Associate) to join their growing Employment team based in Leeds. This is a hybrid opportunity offering a mix of office and home working following completion of probation.

The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.

The successful candidate will work closely with a Partner, managing a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, while also supporting the Corporate and Commercial team on employment-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage executive exit and settlement agreement matters.
  • Handle claimant employment tribunal litigation from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Advise clients on a range of employment law matters.
  • Assist the Corporate and Commercial team with employment aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Prepare legal documentation, correspondence, and tribunal paperwork.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure compliance with tribunal procedures.
  • Deliver excellent client care and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Explain complex legal issues clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 5+ years' PQE in Employment Law.
  • Strong knowledge of the Employment Tribunal process.
  • Experience handling claimant employment litigation.
  • Respondent employment litigation experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience advising employers on non-contentious employment matters is desirable.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service.
