Overview

Do you have experience supporting people towards employment and working with employers to identify suitable opportunities? Are you able to work with different organisations and services to help coordinate employment support?

We are recruiting for an Employment Specialist to join our team in Nottinghamshire.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Nottinghamshire

Responsibilities

Following new funding, we are looking to appoint an Employment Specialist Lead to support the delivery of our IPS service.

The IPS team works to support people using our treatment and recovery services to move towards employment where appropriate. The role will involve providing supported employment to people receiving community treatment for substance use, including individuals who may also have health conditions or disabilities.

The post will use the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach and will involve working with service users, employers and other organisations to identify and support suitable employment opportunities.

About you

We do not expect you to know everything about IPS – however, some knowledge would be helpful.

We would like you to have experience talking to employers and helping people into work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
