Job Role: Employment Specialist for Supported Employment or IPS
As an Employment Specialist for Supported Employment or IPS, you will support people with mental health needs to move into sustainable paid employment that matches their preferences and strengths.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Supported Employment or IPS approach in line with fidelity requirements
- Support participants through all stages of their employment journey, including vocational profiling, action planning, job search, job placement, and in-work support
- Build positive relationships with local employers to create suitable job opportunities
- Achieve contractual targets including starts, job outcomes, and job retention
Key Requirements
- Knowledge or experience of Supported Employment or the IPS model
- Experience working with people with mental health needs, health conditions, disabilities, or similar client groups
- One-to-one client support experience
- Proven ability to meet performance targets and manage a caseload
- Experience supporting people to obtain or retain employment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence employers and stakeholders

Location
This is a peripatetic role working in the community in and around East Yorkshire - there is no home working.
