Do you have experience in Employment Support? We are looking for experienced Employment Specialists to join our Team.

What’s the role?

London Borough of Lewisham is seeking 1 Employment Specialists to join our team delivering the DWP Connect To Work Programme. We are looking for 1 Employment Specialist to deliver via the Support Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) You will work to provide expert employment support for individuals with diverse needs.

Working with participants, health professionals, service providers and employers, you will be focused on making sure a participant’s journey into employment, is as easy as possible. You will work with participants (managing a caseload of 20 - 25) to assist them in securing or remaining in sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. Your role will be to deliver the SEQF (for which training will be given); providing person centred advice and guidance to participants, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable participants to move into suitable employment.

You will work with people on their individual employment journey from vocational profiling to the point where they no longer require face to face in work support.

This is a Fixed Term 2 year contract with a possibility of a further extension.

What we’re looking for

You will have an eye for accuracy and can ensure quality and consistency of published digital content within the Council’s content management system. You will be keen to get involved in content creation, including directing messaging, editorial and tone of voice. Liaising and supporting service-based content editors to ensure webpages are accurate, kept up to date and serve our residents well, will be what you excel at, as well as having great people skills and experience of supporting and working alongside a diverse range of people.

Location

Whilst Lewisham offers a hybrid approach across both office Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU and home locations. This role will be predominantly office based at a number of Lewisham based office alongside community based locations within the borough

£44,235 - £45,852 per annum (PO1)
