Salary: £25,875-£26,262 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: CXK Hastings (5 days a week onsite)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week
Reports to: Hastings Youth Hub Manager
Job Purpose:
Provide a welcoming and inclusive first point of contact for young people, visitors, partners, and employers accessing the Hub. Engage with visitors to understand their needs, provide initial employment support, and connect them with appropriate staff, activities, and partner services. Support participants with job searching, CVs, applications, digital skills, and access to online employment and support services. Coordinate appointments, drop-ins, and activities, while maintaining accurate attendance, participant, and follow-up records. Support the effective day-to-day operation of the Hub and provide front-of-house assistance to participants accessing CXK’s wider employment and youth services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome young people, visitors, partners, and employers, identify the purpose of their visit, and connect them with the appropriate support.
- Provide practical employment support through job searching, CV development, online applications, interview preparation, and access to digital services.
- Support young people to use the Hub’s open-access IT facilities safely, confidently, and effectively.
- Identify visitors’ immediate needs and signpost or refer them to relevant CXK services, partner organisations, activities, and specialist support.
- Coordinate and support appointments, workshops, drop-ins, employer events, and partner activities, providing visitors with accurate information about available opportunities.
- Maintain accurate attendance, visitor, and participant records and support the collection of outcomes, feedback, and satisfaction information.
- Undertake follow-up contact with participants to monitor progression, confirm sustained outcomes, and encourage continued engagement.
- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the Hub, including reception cover, telephone and email enquiries, room bookings, and oversight of shared facilities.
- Work closely with colleagues delivering youth employability and supported employment services to ensure visitors experience coordinated support and effective handovers.
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment, complying with safeguarding, data protection, equality, health and safety, and CXK procedures.
- Act as a key holder for the building and liaise with CXK’s Head Office teams as required to support the safe and smooth running of the Hub.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time. The duties may be changed and/or varied to meet changing circumstances at the discretion of CXK management.
