Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (6 Months)
Location: Lincoln
Hourly Rate: £30.00 - £35.00 PAYE
Our client, a dynamic player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team for a six-month fixed-term contract. If you have a passion for quality assurance and supplier management, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Supplier Interaction: Engage with suppliers to resolve quality issues, manage concessions, and implement change requests.
- Strategic Management: Conduct weekly calls with suppliers to discuss concession issues and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with on-site teams including Quality, Laboratory, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations to ensure timely deliveries to the build line.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential quality issues and propose strategic solutions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Documentation: Manage supplier non-conformance, containment, and resolution, while documenting processes and improvements.

Our client is looking for an individual who possesses the following skills and qualifications:
- Engineering Background: A relevant engineering degree with substantial experience in supplier quality.
- Quality Assurance Expertise: Hands-on experience with quality assurance tools and methods, particularly in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- ISO9001:2015 Knowledge: Understanding and application of ISO9001:2015 standards.
- Coating and Casting Experience: Specific experience with coating and casting machines is essential.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and effectively communicate across all management levels.
- SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP is beneficial, although training can be provided.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Resilience and a proactive attitude towards resolving challenges in a fast-paced environment.
What To Expect
- Work Environment: The role requires a minimum of three days on-site per week, with flexibility for additional days as needed.
- Team Dynamics: Collaborate with a dedicated team of six members across various commodities, ensuring seamless operations and quality assurance.
- Interview Process: Candidates will undergo an initial Teams interview followed by a face-to-face meeting with key members of the management team.
