We have been providing specialist wastewater services, civil engineering, reactive maintenance, trenchless repairs, reinstatement, CCTV surveys, tankering and jetting, and emergency response to commercial, industrial, and domestic clients for over 35 years.

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Utilities Surveyor / Drainage Enabler to join our Civils team. This is a varied role requiring a strong understanding of drainage systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

  • Sound knowledge of both surface water and foul water drainage systems.
  • Ability to work independently, assess a scope of work, and identify the most effective and practical solutions.
  • Competent in the use of CCTV drainage survey equipment, including SoloPro push rod systems and crawler camera units.
  • Experienced in utility detection and location, including CAT scanning and accurate marking of underground services within highways and construction environments.
  • Tracing and locating drainage assets using sondes and pipe-locating equipment.
  • Read and interpret drainage drawings, utility plans, and site layouts.
  • Keen to develop new skills, with training provided in the use of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology and advanced locating equipment.
  • Dealing directly with customers, conducting site visits, and clearly explaining drainage issues and any remedial work that may be required.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Relevant experience and knowledge of both surface water and foul water drainage systems.
  • Previous experience in utility surveying.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Experience of CCTV surveying, jetting, robotic cutting, and trenchless rehabilitation techniques (advantageous).
