Job Title: Encapsulation Technician
Function: Manufacturing
Reporting to: Encapsulation Team Leader
MAIN OBJECTIVES
Responsible for all aspects of the production critical encapsulation process required for product manufactured.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out all aspects of the Encapsulation process including encapsulating, sealing, and priming of assemblies.
- Carrying out routine checks, maintenance, and cleaning of encapsulation machines, compressor, vacuum pump, maintenance, and filter change of spray booth equipment all in accordance with procedures.
- Planning, progressing, and coordinating workload in accordance with production schedule and other internal customers, such as repair and design departments.
- Raising production paperwork including non-compliance/rework records and stores requisitions in accordance with company processes.
- Ensuring all quality procedures for build and workmanship standards and ESD requirements are implemented.
- Maintaining and improving housekeeping and cleanliness of work area.
- Working on own initiative reading BOM’s and drawings, etc.
- Engagement in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Responsibility for adhering to the Company’s Quality ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental Management system requirements and the Health and Safety Management System.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Good attention to detail. Experience with operating machinery.
- Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.
- Appreciation of modern manufacturing techniques.
- Good communication skills.
Working conditions
- The role includes the use of PPE where appropriate, e.g., safety shoes, eyewear, gloves, respiratory masks.
- Operation and maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery.
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the workday.
- Regular lifting and movement of materials up to 30kg (with use of mechanical aids where applicable) in accordance with risk assessment and safe working practices.
- Occasional lifting and movement of equipment/materials up to 800kg with use of mechanical aids in accordance with risk assessment and safe working practices.
