Tempest Vane Partners have an exciting new role available with a newly launched systematic hedge fund who are already establishing a strong name for themselves in the global financial markets space. They are looking for a End User Computing Engineer to join their London technology team in a role which is primarily focused on providing technical support to users across the firm but also working closely with systems engineers to design and implement new infrastructure solutions across software, hardware and networks.

This is a fast-paced role where you will work directly with senior stakeholders, traders and quants so the successful applicant should have excellent communication skills and be a good problem solver to be considered a good fit. You will be responsible for providing support for end user hardware and devices as well as monitoring systems and automating reoccurring issues at every given opportunity.

Key Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working in an End User Support role within the financial markets space (experience supporting PM's, Quants and Traders is preferred)
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft desktop technologies and strong experience troubleshooting mobile and laptop devices
  • Experience building and implementing new desktop and infrastructure solutions and strong engineering mindset; this is not a pure support role
  • Strong scripting skills with Powershell, Python or similar
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially when documenting issues and resolving issues
