Role: End User Services Technical Manager

Contract: Permanent

Location: Nottingham, Beeston

What You'll Be Doing

As the End User Services Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping reliable and user-focused technology services for our colleagues at Boots. Your leadership will ensure that our teams have the necessary tools and support to work effectively, enhancing the overall user experience across our stores, warehouses, and support offices. Collaborating closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers, you will drive improvements and maintain high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical activity across workplace technology services, including devices, applications, and endpoint management.
  • Support service performance, incident resolution, and continual improvement across End User Services.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure safe and consistent delivery of changes.
  • Provide technical input into roadmaps, service improvements, audits, and project delivery.
  • Translate technical details into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Champion secure, reliable, and user-friendly services for all colleagues.
  • Driving assurances of all 3rd party delivery across the portfolio, ensuring influence where required to achieve the desired outcomes.

What You'll Need To Have (our Must-haves)

  • Strong technical experience in End User Computing or workplace technology services.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
  • Proven experience managing endpoint, device, or application services in a large organisation, specifically with Intune and SCCM.
  • Experience contributing to governance, audit activity, or supplier performance reviews.
  • Good understanding of IT service management, including incident, problem, change, and service improvement.
  • Ability to work with third-party suppliers and hold partners accountable for service quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
