Trainee Endometriosis Specialist Nurse
This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Endometriosis Specialist Nurse to undertake a development programme as a band 6 and acquire the specialist knowledge, skills and competencies required to become an autonomous Endometriosis Specialist Nurse. The role includes working alongside Consultant Gynaecologists, Specialist Nurses and the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will provide specialist support, education and care coordination for women with suspected or confirmed endometriosis.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support and advice to women undergoing investigation and treatment for endometriosis.
- Participate in nurse-led clinics under supervision whilst progressing towards autonomous practice.
- Act as a key worker and point of contact throughout the patient pathway.
- Support delivery of telephone advice and support services.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care pathways.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative education and support.
- Participate in BSGE audit and accreditation data collection.
- Contribute to audit, quality improvement and service development.
