Full-time Band 2 Receptionist Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 2 Receptionist to join the Endoscopy Department at Dorset County Hospital. We are looking for enthusiastic, capable, and motivated individuals who will take pride in delivering high-quality administrative support within a patient-focused environment.
About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with both clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the service.
This is a fast-paced role that requires flexibility, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be interacting with patients, relatives, and staff throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients to the Endoscopy Department and providing a friendly, professional first point of contact
- Accurately marking patient attendance and discharge on relevant systems
- Requesting, receiving, and tracking medical records in line with Trust procedures
- Printing, filing, and preparing documentation to support clinical activity
- Responding to face-to-face and telephone enquiries in a helpful and efficient manner
- Supporting the wider administrative and clinical team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
