Job Opportunity: TCI Clerk
The Endoscopy Department is looking to appoint a TCI Clerk to support the booking of elective activity.
Role Overview
This role is based within the Endoscopy Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital working across 6 days (Monday-Saturday).
Key Responsibilities
- Create, book, admit, and discharge TCI encounters for patients.
- Arrange the booking, reception, and follow up outpatient appointments.
- Complete all required documentation and computer records.
- Send out admissions letters and deal with all relevant enquiries from patients, relatives, and GP’s, etc.
- Deal with any difficulties relating to the admission of the patient, referring to a higher level if required.
- Ensure clear communications with the consultant and their secretary.
- Ensure cancelled appointments are refilled where possible by reviewing the waiting list.
- Ensure strict monitoring of patients' waiting times, i.e., targets to be achieved.
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary staff regarding Consultants' annual leave.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of using Cerner.
- Ideally, TCI training (not essential as training will be provided).
- Good people skills.
- Ability to prioritize their own workload.
- Experience in a clinic setting would be an advantage.
