Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and mission-driven Energy Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing energy usage data from homeowners and small-to-mid-sized businesses (SMBs), identifying potential cost-saving opportunities, and providing actionable insights that support the transition to renewable energy.
Your insights and recommendations will directly contribute to reducing utility costs for customers and advancing our vision of a more energy-independent future. You’ll play a crucial behind-the-scenes role in helping prospective clients understand the financial and environmental benefits of our solutions—before they even speak with a specialist.
This position is ideal for individuals with strong analytical thinking, energy industry interest, and a passion for sustainable innovation. Work is remote and flexible, with no micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze utility bill data, energy consumption patterns, and rate structures for residential and SMB prospects.
- Create and deliver reports that compare current utility costs against potential solar or alternative energy solutions.
- Recommend energy-saving opportunities based on financial models and usage trends.
- Collaborate with outreach and sales teams to help prioritize leads and tailor solutions to specific customer profiles.
- Maintain clean and accurate records in our CRM and data systems.
- Support continuous improvement of our modeling tools and reporting formats.
- Stay up to date on utility rates, local incentives, and renewable energy trends to inform analysis.

Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in data analysis, energy auditing, or a related analytical field (energy or utilities experience a strong plus).
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and basic data visualization tools. Bonus for experience with energy modeling software or scripting (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, mission-aligned, and excited to contribute to a collaborative and informal team culture.
